“We’re Getting Married!”

Some of the greatest love stories begin when you least expect them, and ours started at work in 2022. When Gaetan joined the team as the new Assistant Supervisor, neither of us could have imagined where that first conversation would lead. Melissa introduced herself and asked for his name. He replied, “GT.” With her usual confidence and honesty, Melissa quickly responded, “You’re Haitian, I know your mom didn’t name you GT. What’s your real name?” After a laugh, he said his name was Gaetan. Melissa smiled and said, “That sounds more like it.” What seemed like a small exchange would become the first chapter of our forever. As the days turned into weeks, we found ourselves talking more and more. They eventually exchanged numbers, and from there, our connection began to blossom. Text messages turned into long conversations, conversations turned into dates, and before we knew it, we were looking for every opportunity to spend time together. Whether it was picking up overnight shifts together or simply talking about life, we discovered a comfort and understanding in one another that felt rare and special. Gaetan was captivated by Melissa’s strength, warmth, and nurturing spirit. Melissa fell in love with Gaetan’s selfless heart, unwavering kindness, and the way he made everyone around him feel cared for. Through every conversation, every late night shift, and every shared moment, their bond grew stronger. What began as a chance meeting between coworkers became a friendship, then a love story, and ultimately a partnership built on trust, laughter, and unconditional love. Looking back, it’s incredible to think that one ordinary day at work would lead us to finding the person we were meant to spend our lives with. Here we are, deeply in love, planning our wedding, and looking forward to a lifetime of choosing each other every single day. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the journey that brought us together. We truly believe that God was writing our story long before we knew it. And now, surrounded by the people we love most, we are excited to begin our greatest adventure yet as Mr & Mrs St Vil Noël
