7 years in the making

Dakota and Melissa’s paths had crossed many times, but it wasn’t until sophomore year Biology class that they finally collided. The two were both in their first relationships, with other people. This is how they became best friends before anything else. However, the chemistry (wait I thought this was biology class) between the the two were undeniable. Once summer came around the two were single and, depending on which on you ask, they went on their first date to the (then water filled) Lake Elizabeth lake, for a swim. Here they had their first kiss. Fast forward to second semester of junior year, where they began to swim together for Quarts Hill High School and their friendship grew. After failed attempts on Melissa's part, SHE invited HIM to Winter Ball. This was Dakota’s first school dance and Melissa was excited to make her move, again. The night was coming to an end and Dakota expressed a he wanted to dance with a girl he really liked. Melissa encouraged him to be brave and ask her! Melissa anxiously awaited his request, only for him to walk away and be too nervous to ask the another girl! At this point Melissa didn’t know what else to do, so she focused on swimming, all the more enticing Dakota. Finally the day came, in March of 2012, where the two began dating.
