After taking a job as a hotel manager, Melissa took notice of Cory two buildings down. He was working at the local hardware store. After months of unnecessary purchases (most items still unused and downstairs) Cory asked Melissa what she was doing that night. She responded with having a fire and a couple of drinks next door with friends and invited him to join. She then made sure to let her friends know of the last minute hangout that they knew nothing about. Later that evening Cory showed up with his girlfriend (Nope! Didn't know about her.) A couple months went by and Cory came to a birthday party with his girls. This was the first time Melissa met Avery and Gracie. That night, Melissa took the girls to get some hot chocolate in the hotel lobby. As she mixed the drinks the girls prattled on about their love of The Great Room and their take on it's style. It was that night that Melissa fell in love with those beautiful little girls. After deciding to throw a Haunted House Party at the hotel, Melissa began to get more supplies at the hardware store and told Cory of her plan. He asked her if she wanted to use the girls and while she had no original intention of it she immediately agreed. As the month went on and Melissa turned the girls into the live version of the animatronic she picked up at Spirit Halloween, Melissa learned that Cory was now single. On October 4, 2018, Melissa messaged Cory to ask a random question. That evening they began talking on the phone and at 3:17 AM they hung up for the night. They have spoken every day since. On November 18, 2018 they became an official couple and on February 7, 2019 they moved in together. Every day has not been easy but every day has been filled with love.
