Maid of Honor
College roommate turned into “basically family”. Kara and Melissa have been friends for almost 10 years and through many different chapters of life. Melissa applied for jobs in Kansas City because she wanted to be closer to her best friend. Kara’s KC roots led to Melissa and Colin meeting and the group of 3 hanging out weekly. Colin would love to have Kara as a groomswoman but luckily Melissa already called “Dibs”.

“Hurricane Jan” stormed into Melissa’s life when she needed her most. Senior year of college, they turned their competitive nature into a lasting friendship. They quickly became partners in crime, constantly hosting parties, expanding their group of friends and encouraging spontaneous ideas. Jana took the role of “advocate” when Mel’s health took a negative turn. She is a vivacious, fun loving, sparkling friend who brings so much energy into Melissa’s life.

Jessica and Melissa’s friendship is a refreshing reminder you can still form new bonds in adulthood. The two met through Jana Hochard and became friends right before Covid. Jessica and Melissa share admiration for “emo music”, thrift stores and plants. Jessica’s ethereal demeanor, calm disposition and wholesome morals enrich Melissa’s life.

Anna is impeccable listener, infallibly supportive and full of contagious creativity.

Tegan and Melissa met in their last semester of college. The two enjoyed their final rolla chapter together, only regretting not being friends earlier. Through break up, beers, and breakdowns they remained close friends as they guided each other into adulthood. Since Rolla, they have not lived in the same area code but their friendship is strengthened by frequent calls and pep talks
Bridesmaid
Melissa and Lauren were co-captains of their high school lacrosse team where they made the decision to attend Rolla, but only together. Melissa will always think of Lauren as “the person who taught her how to be a friend”. Lauren’s playful demeanor, tireless support and incredibly individuality helped shape Melissa into the person she is today.
Bridesmaid
Moira is Melissa’s soon to be sister-in-law. Melissa hopes Moira’s spontaneity, love for travel and confidence will rub off on Melissa as the two get closer. Moira immediately welcomed Melissa and made her feel right at home. Melissa is excited to have an older sister to look up to.
Bridesmaid
Haley is married to Melissa’s brother, Bobby, and has been a part of the family for 8 years. The two immediately bonded through their love of fashion, fruity drinks and of course, Bobby! Haley and Bobby graciously hosted Melissa for many weekends when they lived in Indianapolis and Melissa was in Ohio. Recently, Melissa has been promoted to “Aunt Milly” as Bobby and Haley welcomed Charlotte in May of 2022.
Bridesmaid
Alex and Melissa met as two wanna-be-punk pre-teens. Melissa knew right away that Alex’s silliness, individuality, and ability to have wholesome fun would make her a perfect life long friend. They have grown closer through so many different parts of life but still feel like little kids every time they get to hangout. From Menchies to margaritas, seeing Alex always makes Melissa feel like she’s finally home.
