...It's About Damn Time!

Christof and Melissa met through mutual friends while they were both attending undergrad at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). One day, a bunch of their friends decided to go putt-putt golfing. It didn't take long for the pair to hit it off. Christof and Melissa spent the whole time exchanging jokes, flirting, and laughing. From there, Melissa claims they had their first date a few weeks later at a viewing of Iron Man 3 and later dinner at TGIF's, but Christof says he didn't know this was a date. He knows, now.

One morning at 3pm Christof was making breakfast. Melissa suddenly entered the kitchen and said, "...we should get married." Christof replied, "Okay" while flipping the bacon. He then said he already planned on proposing later in the year on the anniversary of when they started dating. Melissa thought this was a much better idea and told him he would propose then and she would pick the location. Christof liked this idea since he had no idea what kind of ring she liked or where to do the proposal. They (she) chose Shenandoah National Park for the proposal because of the natural beauty, mountains, and the opportunity to go hiking (Melissa's first time to go!) They arrived and picked a beginner-friendly trail that was supposed to be a 2 hour hike. Since neither of them could read a map, this turned into 6 hours (4 of which were in the wrong direction). Christof was even more sure that they should get married after this since neither of them blamed each other for getting lost (true love). In front of a waterfall, Christof got on one knee and proposed, and the rest is history!
