We’re getting married!

We knew each other from high-school but, hung out in different circles, given Chris lived in Hightstown and Melissa in Twin Rivers (how could we ever mix the two friends circles lol) and didn't think much of it back then. In August of 2019, we reconnected because of something Chris wrote on Facebook. A couple of days later, we went out on our first date to the Butcher and Banker restaurant in NYC and it just clicked, we both knew this could really be something! On 09/04/19 Chris made it official by asking Melissa to be his girlfriend on the beach in Montauk, it was priceless!

On a beautiful day in April, Chris asked Melissa to go for walk along the picturesque waterfront in Bayonne right across from where they live with their pup Teddy. Chris seemed a bit off but, Melissa didn’t think much of it. We walked to the end of the river walk and Chris tied Teddy to the bench and put his phone on the ground leaning it against the bench. Melissa didn’t quite know what was going on and said “you better tie Teddy tighter so he doesn’t get loose.” All of sudden Chris gets down on one knee and gives a heartfelt speech (which neither of them can remember, what? right?) and pulls out a sparkly box with an even more sparkly and beautiful ring. Melissa said “Yes” while giggling (typical Melissa) and we were engaged! Teddy was the picture of perfection by staying quiet the whole time and Chris got the whole thing on video (you should ask him to see it)! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in April!
