How We Met In the most unexpected place — a pickleball court. A mutual friend invited us for a casual game, and while neither of us walked away champions that day, something else quietly began. Afterwards we all went to Waffle House, and that’s when the playful banter started. Cam had a way of joking around — teasing in that innocent, boy-in-the-sandbox kind of way. Somewhere in the middle of a conversation about coffee, Melissa got the nickname “Ms. Coffee.” She thought, “Who is this guy?!” and wasn’t into it at first... but that is how the best stories begin. The First Date
 Not long after, we planned to meet up at a brewery with a group of friends. Melissa had no idea Cam was trying to use the hangout as a chance to get to know her better. When he unexpectedly asked her out that night, she was completely caught off guard and responded with a nervous deer in headlights look, “I’m not saying no…” so while it wasn’t our first official date, you could say it is the moment that started it all Our real first date happened soon after — paddleboarding. We talked, laughed, and connected in a way that felt natural and easy. Little did we know at the time it would be the same location we would commit to spending the rest of our lives together.  Although Melissa had a feeling it was coming, she never imagined it would be on a paddleboard. Cam had tied the ring to a floaty ball — the perfect blend of silly and sweet. Melissa was so nervous she couldn’t stop talking through the whole thing, even as Cam tried to get through his speech. It was imperfect yet so perfectly us. What We Love About Each Other

We’ve learned to bring out the best in each other — and even when life gets messy or stressful, we always find time to check in. Now We’re Here 
Today, we’re a happy little family of three — proud parents to Jake, our much-loved (and slightly spoiled) corgi mix. Every day brings new adventures, big laughs, and quiet moments that remind us how lucky we are to have found one another. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends. It’s a beautiful thing to find the person who makes you feel at home, no matter where life takes you — and we’re so ready for whatever comes next.
