GETTING THERE: The airlines are opening up bookings for December to Cape Town slowly through the month of January, It may be good to keep looking every week to find the good deals. It seems ticket prices are going down- here’s hoping. There are several ways to get to Cape Town. 1.United Airlines flies directly to Cape Town via NYC or Washington DC. 2. One can fly to Johannesburg from any hub and then catch a flight to Cape Town.It is a short 2 hour flight. 3. If you want to break the journey, one can fly from LA to any major city in Europe, spend a day or two there and fly to Cape Town. You can chose to do this on the way home. Booking can be done online or you can use your own travel agent or book with the one below.

More often than flights are cheapest when flying into this airport. Best airport if you plan to do a Safari from Johannesburg (the most central location to get to the best safaris). As you can book your round-trip flight in and out of that airport with Cape town only being a 2-hour flight away.

Vine cuttings were sent to the first commander of the Cape, Jan van Riebeeck, from Germany’s Rhineland in 1654 but arrived rotten.
