The elevation of Bailey, Colorado is 7,740 feet above sea level. Much of Colorado is at a higher elevation than most people are used to, so there are many ways to prepare your body for the challenges of high altitude environments. If you head to the mountains and do feel the effects of the altitude, chances are likely they will be mild symptoms like fatigue, nausea, headache and shortness of breath. The best way to prepare is to plan ahead. Hydration is very important! We suggest drinking twice as much water as you normally would, skip the alcohol and acclimate before heading up.
It could be anything! It could be sunny and 80 degrees or it could be drizzling and 50. We honestly don't know until that day. So plan accordingly.
