The wedding ceremony, or the Vivah Sanskar, represents the sacred union of a couple and their families. The marriage ceremony is the 13th of the 16 Sanskars (rites of passage), which a Hindu observes during his or her lifetime. The ceremony takes place under a Mandap (a beautifully decorated sacred altar) and is conducted by a Pandit (Hindu priest). Rituals such as the Kanyadaan (giving away of the bride), Mangal Phera (seven vows around the sacred fire), and Var Mala (the exchange of garlands) symbolize love, commitment, and the blessings of God. Officiating Priests: Acharya Ganesh Jadonath and Pandit Chadesh Persaud
