How did we meet? Like all the kids are doing it, the internet. The year was 2018, the app.... bumble. A quick flurry of great dates and before either of us knew it, we were official. A year of getting to know each other, friends and family, led us to move in together. I know… a bit early but something just felt right. Living together was easy (besides discovering that Mel was much messier than anticipated) but the house felt empty and apparently free of damage. Enter Beetlejuice. Our mutual love of German Shepherds brought into our lives the beef cake and gentle giant that is Beetle. A few rugs and baseboards later, he was part of the family. 2020 brought a pandemic along that would lock us up and make the bonds of our love even stronger. If watching The Mummy, The Day After Tomorrow and Mulan 87 times couldn’t break us up, nothing ever would (I think you can guess who was picking the movies). Both of us changing jobs, buying our first house and adding Eleven, the crazy ball of energy that has no respect for personal space, highlighted an eventful and fun filled 2021 (let’s also not forget Messi leading Argentina to win the Copa America). Fast forward to June 2022, to a weekend trip that would end with an engagement and one we will never forget. A late night walk on the beach with a thunderstorm on the horizon was the setting for Alberto to pop the question. Obviously, Mel said yes.
