We met in December 2019 while working together at a CBRF, providing personal care for adults with developmental disabilities. At the time, we were just coworkers. We were polite, professional, and definitely not planning a future wedding. Then 2020 hit. With the world shut down and chaos everywhere, we bonded over long shifts, stress, and the shared realization that we actually liked each other a lot. Our first date was in November 2020 at the Oconto Pier. It was freezing, windy, and not romantic by normal standards. But since everything else was closed, it was perfect! If standing outside in freezing conditions didn’t scare us off, nothing would. Adam proposed on April 2, 2023, and after a few years of personal growth, patience, and proving we could survive a pandemic together, we’re finally tying the knot. As it turns out, coworkers to best friends to forever was the plan all along.
