Melissa and Chris met in a math tutoring class at the University of Maryland. Melissa was sitting by herself when Chris came over to sit by her. She offered him some of her snacks and their friendship began.

After two years of studying, sharing snacks, and walking to class together, their weekdays of hanging out gradually turned into weekends too. Eventually, they realized how much they liked each other and started dating.

He tried to throw her off the scent by having her get dressed for a fancy dinner with a quick detour to the park for pictures. Once they arrived, a photographer was waiting for them. They did a two hour photoshoot before Chris got on one knee in front of 'The Windows' arch during golden hour. No surprise, Melissa said "Yes!" ...By the way, there was no fancy dinner. In true Melissa and Chris fashion, they ended up getting takeout and it was the perfect night.
