Trent and Melinda met at the Dining Commons (DC) at San Jose State University, both of their first college jobs.

After months of only saying "Hi" to each other in passing, Trent and Melinda started spending more time together due to their mutual friends dating. They saw each other every single day for a few months, until they made it "official" on May 22, 2015.

On what seemed like a normal Friday night, Trent and Melinda planned to go to dinner for date night. When Melinda got in the car, Trent blindfold her and drove her up to Communications Hill, a beautiful overlook of the San Jose city lights that they used to go to in college. After sharing some beautiful words, Trent got down on one knee and asked Melinda if she would marry him. She, of course, said YES! They had a wonderful dinner, smiling ear-to-ear the entire night.
