In 2013, Jack worked with Melinda's aunt Jody at a Bank of America in Ballard. They often talked about the coincidence of having the same last name as well as Jody's grandfathers first name. When she showed Jack a picture of Melinda he knew they had to meet. In typical millenial fashion, they started talking on Snapchat with Melinda ignoring his first few attempts. Once they officially started dating, many asked about the same last name and people assumed they were already married. After August 10th 2019, they will be right.
