Melinda and Christopher met in Ms. Reitman's 6th grade math class at Bessie Rhodes Magnet School. Melinda wasn't a student there but happened to be sitting in on her mom's class for a day. Christopher was immediately starstruck; however, he thought that would be the extent of their relationship, the teachers daughter who came in every now and then. Boy was he wrong. That same year they learned they swam for the same swim club (Chris took a little bit of time to catch up to Melinda's level). An amazing friendship began to blossom in the pool and the lobby of the YWCA. Fast forward to Sophomore year in high school. Melinda and Chris spent their free period together at the central library at ETHS where Chris ended up asking Melinda to be his girlfriend. Ever since that fateful day Chris and Melinda have loved each other through life's ups and downs. 13 years of friendship and love is only the beginning.
