Our story began in a pretty unforgettable way—over a round of mini golf with our church youth group. A simple outing became the unexpected beginning of something far deeper than either of us imagined. As a regular youth group outing for Alexis and a new experience for me, he expected the usual fun night of nothing other than friendly competition and I expected the awkwardness of being around new people, but as soon as we were grouped together, it turned into a night neither of us expected. It was as if we already knew each other, neither of us held back on the competitiveness (and sass). The night flew by and we both knew that this was just the beginning of what God had in store for us.
