We can't wait to celebrate

Little did we know that we had friends in the same circles growing up. Kaylie remembers seeing a picture of Josh in high school on a friend's Facebook page, and wondering who he was. Skip to Thanksgiving 2017, we were both living somewhere other than Maryland- Kaylie in North Carolina for PA school and Josh in New York. Back in town for the holiday, we had plans to hang out with our respective friends who knew each other. In a classic case of consolidating plans, we all met up at R House in Baltimore. At the end of the night, the Uber driver taking Kaylie and Maddie home encouraged Kaylie to get Josh's phone number.

Josh concocted an elaborate scheme to have dinner with friends at Woodberry Kitchen (one of our favorite restaurants and where we had our first date). When we arrived, our friends were mysteriously not there yet. Josh got down on one knee and proposed while guitar music played in the background. The best part of the night was seeing all of our family and friends gathered for a secret surprise party afterwards to kick off a weekend of engagement celebration.
