This beach is walking distance from the hotel (if you are willing to take a little scrambling adventure over some rocks) or you can rent a boat to taxi you over. It's a beautiful view from a different part of the bay with beachside restaurants serving great seafood and tropical cocktails.
This company does catamaran trips from the port. They can do day trips with stops on the islands and snorkeling or sunset sails. Please let us know if you will be arriving early and are interested in a sunset cruise on Thursday evening. If there is enough interest, we can reserve a boat.
There are a few dive operators in Zihua, but this is one of them. Others are Adventure Divers Zihua and Zihuatanejo Dive Center. The rates are fairly standardized as follows: 2 Tank Dive (for certified divers) - $90; 1 Discover Scuba Course - $90; Snorkel - $35; Includes guide, equipment, boat transportation, light snacks and water.
A Robert Trent Jones designed golf course if you get tired of relaxing on the beach. Seniors cost 1000 pesos per round. All others are 1500 pesos.
A beautiful beach walk along the Playa Principal. If you come early, you can see the fishermen bringing in their daily catch.
If you're looking for bigger surf, Playa Troncones is for you! Consistently overhead to double overhead in May, beginners should avoid this break. About 40 minutes by car from the hotel.
A longboarder's paradise! This left point break hosts multiple surf competitions every year and is world class. About 44 minutes from the hotel by car.
A beautiful view and delicious food! Not far from the hotel (and walkable if you are willing to go up a steep hill).
In the heart of downtown Zihua, amazing salsa en molcajete made at your table and the tacos are incredible too.
At the end of the beach, this restaurant is a great place to take in the sunset during dinner.
