Kalia Williams

Maid of Honor

We've shared everything from birthdays to bunkbeds. Shes my twin, my therapist, my best friend, and on the day I will cherish forever, she will be my Maid of Honor. Meet Kalia. With a fiesty heart of gold. Our sisterhood is one of a kind. We shower each other with gifts of joy, encouragement, and a commitment to always have each others back. I am honored to share this day next to you. Thank you for being my rock!

Rafael Medina

Best Man

They say you can count your true friends on one hand. Since I consider Rafael my right hand man, I would obviously count him as one of them. We both first met transitioning into new lives. We quickly realized we were meant to be not just friends but brothers from another mother.... Rafael is fun to be with yet also someone who you know will have your back if you truly need him. At the same time, he has a unique perspective on life that makes you value his presence as a friend and as my best man. He is like family and I am honored to have him in my wedding.

Sasha Toth

Bridesmaid

The gift of a daughter. Thats what Sasha is to me. We giggle over silly dinner conversations, shed tears through times of despair, and talk about the futures hopes and dreams. Thank you for accepting me in the home so lovingly and sharing your wonderful father with Dominic and I. I am blessed and so excited to share this day with my future daughter Sasha, and son, Alec. Even though I already refer to both of you as my children! This makes these blessings official.

Dominic Dorr

Groomsman

Not only have I gotten the gift of Melia as my bride, she has given me another gift as well...Dominic as a son to be who I am proud to welcome into my family and honored that from day one he would welcome me into his, and since then I have been incredibly grateful to have him in my life. It is important he is a groomsman as I am not just taking Melia to be a part of my family but also asking for Dominic to be a part as well. On our wedding day, I will not only be gaining a wife, I will be gaining a stepson. I am humbled to be given this gift.

Maja Kieffer

Bridesmaid

We've shared a classroom for 5 years now. Maja has been a mentor and an inspiration to so many including myself. She is a leader, an optimist and advocate to our students. Her fearlessness and sincerity are something to admire. It is such a pleasure to have you in my corner on this day and everyday that I have been given the gift to work by your side.

Alec Toth

Groomsman

He's my son, my friend, and my inspiration to be a better man so I can raise him to be better than I ever was. Alec has been a part of my life now for 15 years and I treasured every one of them. What would be more natural than having him as a groomsman to be a part of transitioning me to the next stage of my life. Now as he is growing into a man, i get to show him the next important lesson...what it is like to find your true love. After all, it's what I hope for him later in life. I am proud to have him for my son, proud to show him off as one of my groomsmen, and so happy to have him there to support me into this next happy chapter of my life. Feeling lucky all around....

Shanta Griffin

Bridesmaid

Shanta and I share the gift of being American Sign Language Interpreters. I had the pleasure to work with her for 3 years as team Interpreters, learning from one another and guiding each other through our craft. I love Shantas sassy / chill vibe. She's calmed me through many of life's 'storm', and laughed out loud at the goofy things I'd say. Having you there on my big day will help me to feel centered, and loved. Thank you!

Nicholas Jacobson

Groomsman

Who says you can't choose family....I get to as I gain a new brother in law who I am happy to call family. I am so glad to have Nick as one of my groomsmen. He always looks out for his nephews, his sisters, and has always made me feel welcome. From the stories Melia has told me of them growing up together, I know I'm going to enjoy this family.... Welcome to my family Nick. Thanks for welcoming me into yours.

Christopher Hauck

Groomsman

We've Known each other for 2 years but havn't actually met in person as Christopher lives miles away in Cali. What better way to welcome each other as brothers than on the day I marry his fiances twin sister. To my future brother in law! We're on this path together!

For all the days along the way
