Marin Catholic’s Senior prom 2016, Melena set her best friend up with a mystery date from Sir Francis Drake High School, Alex. Prom came and went, everyone graduated, and Summer was coming to a close, when Melena joined a mutual friend to see “The Killing Joke” with Alex and his Dad. They clicked, and for weeks they saw each other or talked everyday until they moved away for college. Melena moved to Pennsylvania to live with her Aunt Mary while she worked at FedEx and went to school. Alex moved to Long Island to attend Hofstra University as a Production Major. The first chance he got, Alex hopped on a plane to Pittsburgh to visit Melena, but it would take one more visit in October 2016 for him to ask her to be his girlfriend. They dated long distance for 4 years, talking everyday and taking any opportunity they could to visit and here they are now!

Summer 2016 Melena joined Alex’s birthday celebrations with his family and the rest is history. Can you tell he loves cake?
