Both Juan and Jackie have an enthusiasm for a variety of sports but they met playing volleyball while competing against each other. Who the better player is, is still up for debate and the answer changes depending on who you ask. The Balloon Fiesta has been, still is, and forever will be an eventful time of year for the couple; having had one of their first dates at the fiesta to now committing to one another with family and friends as witnesses of their joyous union. A joyous union set in front of the Sandia Mountains where Juan and Jackie frequently visit. From watching the NM sunsets in the foothills to making an afternoon drive up to the crest, the Sandias have been a constant in their relationship. Having tackled the La Luz Trail together, all 7.5 miles and 3,775 feet gain of elevation, the trek up the mountain was done with constant encouragement and demonstrates the couple's ability to literally climb to new heights with each other.
