Question
Will there be a room block at a hotel?
Answer
Yes, we do have a room block! It will be at the courtyard Marriott downtown Orlando. The dates blocked are from November 14-17. The rate for those days are $169/night plus taxes. This location is about eight minutes from the gardens and relatively close to Winter Park, which is where we will meet Saturday morning for a farmers market and boat ride. and it is about 25 minutes from the airport.

Where should we reserve a hotel or airbnb in Orlando?
Answer
It would be ideal to reserve a hotel or airbnb close to the venue, Leu Gardens. The surrounding neighborhoods are Winter park, Maitland, Baldwin park, Downtown Orlando and Audubon park. All of these would be no more than 15 minutes from the venue and are in a central part of Orlando. However feel free to book a hotel or air bnb wherever you like in the city. Particularly if you plan on going to the theme parks, Walt Disney or Universal Studios. Just be aware, that the commute from those locations to the wedding are 30-45 minutes without traffic, and the wedding is at 1030am on a weekday, Friday, so the commute time can be longer

At what time should we arrive at Leu gardens
Answer
Please plan on parking at the gardens at 10 AM as it’s a minimum 5 minute walk from the parking lot to the ceremony site. You’re welcome to come earlier as the gardens open at 9 AM and it should be beautiful weather to walk around! We want to make sure everyone is seated and ready for the ceremony to start at 10:30am

Are there any other planned activities for out of town guests, aside from the wedding
Answer
Yes! The day after the wedding is Saturday November 16th, and we would like anyone who would like to get together, to meet at the winter park farmers market at 9am and then follow up with the winter park boat tour if interested. The addresses for both are listed under the “things to do” section. For the farmers market, you can grab a quick breakfast bite and drink and walk around. For those that would like to do the winter park boat tour, you would have to let Melba know by November 1st, and you would have to meet at the boat dock by 940am. It is an 8 minute walk from the farmers market to the boat dock. The address is also listed under the things to do section of this website. We have other activities listed under the "things to do" section, which are options for anyone who wants to enjoy the local scene in Orlando but are not planned activities for the wedding weekend.
