In 2010, Melaniece received a prophetic word that in 90 days she would meet the man she would marry. Melaniece didn't give this message much thought as she was focused on serving the Lord & raising her son Jamarri. Almost 90 days later, Melaniece took her niece Levias to celebrate her birthday. Standing at the door was Don (Top Flight Security). Unaware of Don's interest, Melaniece danced the night away. Upon leaving the lounge, Don struck up a conversation with Melaniece. In the words of Melaniece's niece Levias, "the chemistry between Don and Melaniece was FIRE!". In his protector mode, Don walked them to their car. Don asked Melaniece to let him know she made it home safely. True to her word, Melaniece called Don. After a brief exchange the two decided to meet at IHOP for breakfast. There they continued their conversation until sunrise. Life circumstances happened and they both went their separate ways. 5 years later GOD brought them back together. Melaniece became ill and Don didn't allow hundreds of miles prevent him from being there for her. By phone he consistently checked on her as she endured multiple surgeries. She soon became his CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer & prayer intercessor; watching over him as he prepared to lay his grandmother to rest. A three strand cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. After a spontaneously 10 day road trip together, they soon began to see each other with new eyes. Months later they entered into a committed relationship. Seeking God's will for their lives, they sought spiritual counseling, fasted, prayed with and for each other and walked through the pain of brokenness. Praise be to GOD, through the power of forgiveness and beauty of restoration; what was birthed could only be described as the biblical definition of LOVE as expressed in 1 Corinthians 13:4.
