It all started in Mr. Washington's class, our junior year in High School. We were only 17 when we met but we fell in love. We lived for Friday nights at the movies, and went on walks to the lake. Once we got older we started going on more adventures like to Busch Gardens, Disney World, Sleepy Hollow, etc! We love to make each other laugh and can be our complete weird selves with each other. We love exploring new places together and eating at our favorite restaurant - Secret Garden. We are each others' best friend, lover, soul mate, king and queen. One quote we live by from the Harry Potter Universe, is "After all this time, ALWAYS." We fell in love at 17, and been in love ever since. We share our love for movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, just to name a few. Speaking of Star Wars, our proposal was literally a Star Wars Proposal. This is how it happened.... Matt picked up Melanie early one Christmas morning to go to the lake. Melanie thought they were having a photo shoot but little did she know he was going to propose to her that day. Once they were in the car and were halfway there, he turned on the theme song to Star Wars. Melanie thought it was a little weird and suspicious because he usually listens to rock. Once they arrived and got out of the car, Matt was holding these huge bags with him, she was a little curious what they were and even asked him. He said it was just his camera equipment. Later, when they were in a middle of a photo shoot, and told her to look out into the lake, she heard a buzzing sound. When she turned around, she saw two glowing light sabers. He told her one is for her as a present. She thought that was the surprise but a few minutes later he pulled out a ring and asked her to marry him. It was a truly magical, galactic proposal! It was the best Christmas they've ever had.
