How we met

We swiped right and then got stuck in the house

This original not so classic story began with a good ole online dating site. We obviously matched and from there we began "the messaging" until the faithful day in late February my car got towed, I got bit by a dog and Melanie felt bad enough for me to invite me out for drinks. This was our first meeting (and I don't care what Melanie says it was our first date!) and from that moment on she was in love (since I'm writing this what I say is the official story). After that day we went on a couple dates and I do mean only a couple because then March 2020 hit and you know what that meant #lockedup #jailathome #covid, etc you get it lol. From then on most of our time seeing each other was in the house (talk about jumping a couple of steps), but God knew what He was doing and from there I decided this girl can cook I gotta put a ring on it and so my stomach and I came up with a plan. I wrote her a poem, took her out to dinner and got the waiter to give her the poem disguised as a “Secret Dessert Menu” with a cliff hanger at the end ( I was inspired by those original Netflix movies cause ya'll know they never give you a decisive ending). After she read the poem I got down on one knee and ya'll know the rest, ya'll saw the ring.
