Our Always & Forever

To say "we started as friends" is an understatement. We always see each other during most family gatherings, and I would always call him kuya (big brother in Filipino). We both had significant others then and did not really feel the chemistry in the beginning. Until, something unexpected occurred. It was like seeing "Kuya JB" in a totally different light. We did not realize that our friendship turned into LOVE until March of 2014, that was when a day did not feel complete without a message to or from each other. Now, nearly six years later we can say that romantic relationships that start off from a foundation of friendship often last the longest.

Who would have thought that, after an exhausting Black Friday shopping spree, he managed to organize a sweet and simple proposal. I walked into our front door and I was welcomed with a trail of scattered rose petals and Christmas lights on the floor. As I made my way to the living room, I saw my man standing in the middle of a heart shaped rose petal arrangement complete with red and engagement ring balloons. To my extreme surprise, it was hard to hold back the tears. All I did was hug him as tight as I could (still crying). I did not want to let him go, the next thing I see is him down on one knee. You all know I said YES :) and we were engaged! We are thrilled to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
