Travel and Place to Stay
Travel by airfare is generally inexpensive and a quick flight on American Airlines and Allegiant Airlines. Flights arrive at the Destin Fort Walton Airport (VPS) and at the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP). Other airlines may be available depending upon your location. Joe and I prefer using the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) which is in Panama City. The drive to and from the airport is less congested than travel through Destin. Both airports are very nice and within an hour to the Sandestin and Santa Rosa Beach areas.
Lodging Suggestions:
Hyatt Place, Courtyard by Marriott, and Hotel Effie are located in Sandestin. These three hotels are in a great location for dining, shopping, and are convenient to Publix Grocery Store. They are approximately 10 minutes from our home traveling West on Highway 98. Also, consider 30A Inn and Suites on County Highway 30A.
