The cottage destination we picked is located on the East side of Whitestone Lake. The property is secluded and extends to the dock access by a short trail from the cottage. We hope for the weekend to be filled with adventure, some hiking, as well as relaxation and quality time as we know it will be a busy few days. Although we (Jean-Marc and Melanie) will take a minimal amount of time on May 9th to prepare for the wedding day set up, we have planned our day to be a casual and simplistic event to maximize our time spent with family and friends.
1. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are located at the dock area 2. A hot tub is located in the backyard of the ground level (BRING YOUR BATHING SUIT!) 3. A dry sauna is located on the dock 4. A firepit is located in the backyard with seating area 5. A barbeque is located on the deck outside of the living room 6. A pool table and movie theatre area is located in the basement living room 7. Many hiking trails in close proximity of the cottage
There are multiple bedrooms that will accommodate all of our guests. While some rooms have single queen beds, other rooms have multiple, in which we will pair our friends and family accordingly.
On Friday, May 9th, the ladies of the group are invited to an afternoon high-tea lunch at the Oakcrest Co. in Parry Sound. Gluten free and other dietary options will be available. Please dress casual/dressy casual. The exact time is TBD and will be located at the following address: 46, Seguin Street, Parry Sound, ON P2A 1B4.
1. Black-tie optional wear for the wedding 2. Dressy casual wear (ladies for high-tea) 3. A lawn chair 4. Good walking shoes (if you plan to hike some trails) 5. A bathing suit 6. Bug repellent
The wedding dinner and alcohol will be provided by the bride and groom. For the rest of the days, we kindly request that meals be a collective team effort that we can plan upon the start of the weekend. (Example, we might all choose to eat breakfast at different times, but can plan to have group barbeques for dinner).
