If you are an out of state guest, San José airport is the closest option to Santa Cruz, about an hour drive. Please keep in mind, the highway from San José airport to Santa Cruz traverses the Santa Cruz Mountains so it is very windy but offers a beautiful scenic view of the redwoods. San Francisco International Airport offers two ways to drive to Santa Cruz. 1st option: 1 hour and 25 min drive from San Francisco airport-->San Jose-->Santa Cruz. Please keep in mind, the highway from San Jose to Santa Cruz traverses the Santa Cruz Mountains so it is very windy but offers a beautiful scenic view of the redwoods. San Francisco airport--> Chaminade 68 miles 2nd option: 2 hour drive from San Francisco-->Half Moon Bay--> along the coast (Highway 1 south bound) Santa Cruz. This option offers costal views and an option to stop in beautiful Half Moon Bay for seafood. San Francisco airport--> Chaminade 74 miles

Monterey Regional Airport is a 45 min drive to Santa Cruz. Please keep in mind this is a small airport with limited options. The drive from Monterey to Santa Cruz offers a scenic drive along the famous Highway 1 with beautiful coastal views. Monterey-->Chaminade 40 miles
