Isle au Haut Boat Tour
This is one of our favorite day trips while in Deer Isle! The ferry departs from Stonington, and there are a number of tour options available depending on where you'd like to explore. Bikes are available for rent in Stonington right where you'll board the ferry, which we highly recommend if you wish to pedal around the island as there are no taxis available on Isle au Haut.
Burnt Cove Boil
A Maine classic! Enjoy world-famous Maine lobster, crab and oysters caught locally that same day in a charming picnic table setting overlooking the waterfront of Fifield Point. We recommend bringing a cooler of your favorite sides and beverages!
Barred Island Preserve
Barred Island Preserve is a quiet, 28 acre, natural sanctuary located on the west side of Deer Isle, ME. This is an easy 2.7-mile out-and-back hike that leads to Barred Island and features views into Penobscot Bay and views of Goose Cove. We highly recommend timing your venture with low tide so that you can walk across the sandbar to Barred Island and get the full experience!
Island Country Club
The Island Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course and tennis courts. Rentals are available for both!
Sailing Charter
There are a number of local sailing charters on Deer Isle and surrounding towns. We highly recommend getting out on the water to enjoy the iconic views of Eggomogan Reach. Please don't hesitate to text us for specific recommendations.
