Here are the nearby airports: Montrose (MTJ) (1.5 hours away), Grand Junction (GJT) (2.5 hours away), and a Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) but that is more expensive.

It is recommended to get a high clearance rental car that has 4 wheel drive as the venue is down an unpaved road. The venue has limited parking space, so please carpool.

Altitude + Venue Tips

The altitude at the venue is 11,300ft, so be prepared to be a little winded 😂 It may be chilly even in the summer, so bring a jacket. The weather forecast looks like it will range from the high 40s at night to high 60s at the venue in Ophir. Telluride will be a bit warmer in the low 50s at night and low 70s during the day. The venue is a very remote location, so we would recommend downloading the offline maps for the entire Telluride/Ophir area. Phone signal is never a guarantee! You can open up Google Maps, select a zoomed-out view of your location, and then save it for offline use before your trip! Screenshot any Airbnb/VRBO instructions for how to get to your place. Make sure to fill up on gas and send any texts before going down Alta Lakes Rd, as there may not be cell service.

Packing

There are kayaks and paddle boards at the semi private lake for us to use, so pack a bathing suit! There is also a hot tub. Make sure to bring shoes good for hiking and layers for sun protection and warmth if it gets chilly. Recommended Items to Pack: - Hiking boots - Wool socks - Puffy jacket - Sunscreen - Electrolytes - Rain Jacket - Wedding day outfit - Bathing suit
