Our first visit to Bonefish Grill was on a trip to the zoo one day early in our relationship. Now we make sure to go every year for our anniversary! They have the best Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, we both get them practically every time we go!
One of our favorite things to do when traveling is find a local mini golf spot and spend an hour or so goofing around on the course putting it out for first place. We have putted in Georgia, New Hampshire, Virginia Beach, and here at home. Fun Land has a myriad of activities to do from arcades, to go karts, but we always go for their mini golf!
This is where we met way back when (January/2021), where Colby stopped and got a small rock from the quarry and asked Melanie to be his Girlfriend (February/2021), and later where we got engaged (June/2025)! This walking trail is a very special spot for us and, if you're up for a small hike, a very beautiful place to see.
There are so many wonderful spots in Downtown Fredericksburg and they mean a lot to us. Abner B's for our favorite ice cream, Benny's has our towns biggest slices of pizza, Orofino for our yearly Valentines Day dinner, plus quite a few museums and historical walking trails!
We've been here a few times, and have taken Colby's sister here as well. Melanie's favorite game is Tapper and Colby likes any of the Pinball Machines. It is definitely a blast from the past, and makes a great date night spot!
