A short, steep, and muddy hike down to the black sand beach and valley. Totally worth it. Our favorite hike on the island.

Pololu Valley Lookout Hike

A fun ride through the hills and jungle to an awesome waterfall. Great views of Maui, too.

ATV Outfitters Hawaii Ltd

Really good spot for lunch if you go to the north side of the island for a hike or ATV ride.

Excellent restaurant on the water at the hotel. Get a reservation early if you want a table on the patio at sunset!

Legends of Hawaii Luau

Really cool spots for food and mai tais right on the water. On The Rock's is a bit more casual and has live music most nights. Huggo's is only open for dinner during the week and also has great breakfast on the weekend.

Huggo's / On The Rocks

Incredible variety of tropical plants. You could spend a full day here, but set aside at least a couple hours. The paths are all paved, and it's a nice long walk. The ramp at the entry is no joke-- it's a real hike!

Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden

If this sounds a little odd, that's because it is! This guy is a total badass- very impressive and very funny. The show is actually in his tiki art showroom, and you bring your own drinks.

Kona Kozy Comedy & Magic Show

Short walk to a lookout view of the waterfall. This is good for a quick little stop if you're on the east side of the island, but get there early because it gets CROWDED.
