This is a beautiful park near the reception hall. The garden consists of beautifully arranged gardens and has a coy pond! And it is free!
This park has beautiful cobblestone pathways and a stream! Melanie and her family used to go here for picnics often when she was younger. Fun fact! It is also where Melanie's parents were married!
If you get to Indiana a day or two early this is must-see! During Covid, Melanie and her sister would hike here at least once a week. They recommend trying the 3-Dune Challenge, if you dare, Or to walk along the Lakeshore. When the sky is clear, the park is also a great place to view the Chicago Skyline. It costs $7 to enter for Indiana Residents and $20 for our of state-residents. Fun Fact: Thinking it was a date, Joey invited Melanie here to watch the sunset together. Melanie thought that Joey just wanted to go swimming. As you can imagine, they were dressed very differently. To this day, Melanie is still curious how Joey got all of the sand out of his shoes!
This is a great place to get coffee! Melanie and Joey took their engagement photos here!
This coffee shop has top-notch coffee and even better book recommendations. If you want to pass the time with a pick-me up and a good book this is the place for you!
If you are in search of an activity to do the night before the wedding, look no further than some good ole fashion mini-golf. Melanie and Joey are both pretty competitive and love to trash-talk over a game of mini-golf. We also recommend their pizza!
They have the best apple cider and pumpkin doughnuts! A perfect seasonal activity
