Nick and I met at a spring football game at Western Carolina University in 2018. Nick played football for the university and I was visiting with my sister to support her boyfriend while he played. Madelyn’s boyfriend Zach after the game took us to a group dinner so we could meet all of his new friends. Nick was one of those friends. We sat across from each other at the dinner table, and during the dinner our hands met as we reached for our napkins at the same time. Cliché, I know. The rest of it is history!
