Question

Will the event take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in a forest clearing (weather permitting) and the cocktail hour will take place on a covered porch.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love for you to don cocktail attire, but feel free to wear any color or pattern! This means a suit and tie, a cocktail dress in any length, or a jumpsuit or pantsuit. Please note the ceremony and reception will be taking place outdoors on soft ground so wear appropriate shoes!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 3:30pm. If you are taking our wedding shuttles you will be picked up from your accommodation in advance to ensure your timely arrival.

Where should I sit at the ceremony?

Answer

We have no seating arrangements for the ceremony and would like everyone to sit where they feel most comfortable:) Please note the first few rows are reserved for family.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so please no photos or video at any time during the ceremony. Our talented photographer will be getting all the shots and we'd love for you to be in the moment with us. Afterwards, feel free to capture the night however you see fit.

Is there parking at Spillian?

Answer

There is parking at Spillian, but it is limited. If you wish to drive yourself to our event, feel free. However, we will be offering a shuttle service to and from the event and lodging throughout the area and would prefer our guests to use this if possible.

Where and when will the shuttle be running?

Answer

We will send out a shuttle schedule with pick-up times before the event. Please let us know where you are staying when you RSVP so we can schedule accordingly. The shuttles will run throughout the night (starting in the eve) so you can return back to your lodging when you please. If not using the shuttles, please note we will be in a rural area with limited cell service for directions and no rideshares available.

What type of food/drink will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving personal charcuterie boards during cocktail hour and serving an abundance of food buffet-style at the reception. Let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we will be sure to accommodate everyone. There will also be an open bar.

Are there any late night snacks?

Answer

We'll be having s'mores with the bonfire and late night grilled cheese sandwiches!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to size constraints, we are only able to accommodate the guests on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will be listed on your invitation envelope and appear under your name when you RSVP. If you didn't receive a plus one don't worry, we know plenty of your friends and family will be there.

Are there children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, no, while we love your children, we have chosen to keep this celebration child-free.

If I stay somewhere not listed on the website, can I still use the shuttle?

Answer

If you found accommodation nearby somewhere else, just let us know and if it's possible we can add you to the shuttle service route! If your accommodation is not accessible via shuttle bus we can help you find a pick-up location close by.

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

Answer

You know we love to travel:) We are so excited to go to Singapore and Indonesia for three weeks after our wedding. We'll be eating nasi goreng and sipping Singapore Slings, hiking active volcanoes, snorkeling with sea turtles, boating with dolphins, and exploring both modern and ancient architecture.
