Cindy's Rooftop Bar
We LOVE this spot! The drinks are delicious (a bit pricey) and the view unbeatable. Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is where we fell in love with the idea of getting married in Chicago while on vacation in 2016 <3 Be sure to make a reservation or save time to wait in a potentially long line to go up to the rooftop!
Chicago Architecture River Cruise
This tour is a MUST DO and the best way to see and learn about the famous Chicago architecture quickly. Be sure to bring sunglasses/hats and sunscreen for this warm summer day activity! Book your tour before your trip.
Chicago Architecture Foundation Walking Tours
CAF has some of the best walking tours of the city. You can select a tour to see the big landmarks, check out specifically sites with incredible Tiffany glass, be taken to modern architecture sites, and more! Book your tour in advance, and consider getting a membership with the CAF if you plan to do more than one tour. (It may save you $$)
Skydeck Ledge at Willis Tower
This is where you'll snag the famous tourist photo of yourself floating above the city on a glass floor. Be sure to purchase tickets before you come to the city if you're brave enough to venture out onto the Ledge!
Navy Pier
Come visit the popular bars, restaurants, and ferris wheel on the shore of Lake Michigan! Hours run from 10am until the later evening, and admission is free. This is a family friendly spot for sure!
Chicago Cultural Center
This was one of our favorite buildings during a walking architecture tour of Chicago! You HAVE to go inside and be sure to read a bit online about what you're seeing and the history of the building.
Wrigleyville + Wrigley Field
This area around the Cubs' home is super fun to explore for the bar scene, enjoy fun food, or play arcade games with the kids! If there's a game in town (that isn't during our ceremony of course!) feel free to book seats and enjoy. We watched the Cubs play from a Rooftop seat on a building on the edge of the field.
Palmer House
We LOVE this historic hotel with its unique and fabulous style. You can snag a drink or simply stroll through and get a picture from the top of the old staircase. This is a true gem of Chicago.
The University of Chicago Library
Like a scene out of Harry Potter, this library took our breath away. The entire campus has such character and charm..feel free to explore the buildings and gardens like we did!
The Signature Room at the 96th®
Grab a delicious cocktail in the lounge here for an incredible view from one of the tallest buildings in the city!
