In 2009, Jake and Melana first noticed each other when they were a couple of five-year olds in the same kindergarten class. Since then, they remained close friends all throughout school. After attending multiple school dances together over the years and hanging out as “just friends”, Jake officially asked Melana to be his girlfriend on June 4th, 2021. Fast forward to now, they will become husband and wife the day after their 6 year anniversary ♡ 06/05/27 can’t come any quicker!

During the last weekend of September 2025, Jake and Melana went on their annual camping trip. They spent the weekend hiking around Jay Cooke State Park and enjoying their campsite in Nemadji State Forest. On their way home, they stopped at Banning State Park and hiked out to Big Spring Falls. While Melana was looking out at the waterfall, Jake told her to turn around and asked the best question ever. Of course the answer was yes ♡
