We met through mutual friends at a brunch one sunny March morning in 2016. Lauren thought Lucas was loud. Lucas ordered a salmon breakfast burrito.

We both moved to Denver after college in search of new adventures. Lauren is from Sioux City, Iowa. Lucas is from Deep Haven, Minnesota.

Our first real date was at a Denver restaurant called Snooze. The wait was over an hour long so we did a wall sit challenge to pass the time. Lucas won. Lauren had to buy him an extra side of bacon.

Lucas lived in Boulder at the beginning of the relationship, and Lauren lived in a teeny studio apartment in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Denver.

We both feel so lucky to have compatible senses of humor: silly, sarcastic, and strange.

Lauren has a fear of public displays of affection. She is very nervous to kiss in front of people on the wedding day.

We first said the words "I Love You" on the drive back from Mt. Bierstadt- our first hike at 14,000 feet!

We knew we wanted our engagement photos to happen in the fall in order to include the mountain aspens changing colors.

Lucas proposed while camping in the middle of nowhere. Lauren was 98% sure it was going to happen. It was absolutely perfect.

Even though most of our family lives in the Midwest, we knew we wanted to get married in Colorado since this is where we met and fell in love.

Lauren knew Lucas was "the one" because of his genuine kindness, unbelievable patience, and his ability to communicate respectfully no matter what.

Lucas knew he wanted to spend his life with Lauren because of her strong will, her dedication to the things she loves, and her kind heart.

The thing Lauren is most excited about on her wedding day is seeing so many of the people she loves and cares about in one place celebrating and supporting this enormous life event!

Lucas can't wait for everyone to meet and be together, and is also excited to stand with Lauren after she walks down the aisle.
