Maid of Honor
Kayla is Sarah's best friend from high school! The two of them have been friends for almost fourteen years! Growing up- these two were like sweet and sour (Can you guess who is who). From playing basketball together (once they both made the same team), having homework dates (where only one of them did homework), to late-night talks of Kayla always trying to give Sarah advice (She never took it), and spontaneous adventures whether it was a random vacation or a trip to WVU, the two of them have always been inseparable. Sarah and Kayla only lived about 10 minutes from each other so it was a quick drive or phone call any time of day or night. Kayla is an only child so she always saw Sarah as a sister. Sarah has 5 siblings and always saw Kayla as "just one more". With the amount of time they spent together, you would have thought they were sisters. 9 times out of 10, they were together, and mostly always at Kayla's. Sarah's mom never worried when she was there because she always saw Kayla as a good influence. Kayla's parents always joked that Sarah was like another daughter to them. One of Sarah's favorite memories with Kayla is when Sarah's older sister invited them to Hawaii to visit them where she lived. They had the time of their lives and were jet lagged for a few days when they returned. But, they both said they would go back. Throughout the years- Kayla and Sarah have remained close and Sarah couldn't imagine going through her BIG DAY without her best friend by her side!
Maid of Honor
Bekah is one of Sarah's sisters. Being eight years apart hasn’t stopped the two of them from being incredibly close—in fact, it’s made their bond even stronger. Bekah is Sarah's mini-me in so many ways (though she claim she is the most athletic of them all!), and growing up with her has been one of Sarah's greatest joys of her life. Sarah had a part in teaching her how to drive (maybe even before she got her license)—somehow they both survived—and those practice sessions quickly turned into late-night drives to grab snacks, talk about life, or just cruise with music playing and windows down. Those are some of their favorite memories together. Sarah and Bekah have always shared a deep love for sports, especially basketball. Whether they were shooting hoops in the driveway or driving hours away for a game, they have always connected through their competitive spirits and team loyalty. As Bekah gets ready to head off to college, Sarah already knows how much she will miss having her close by. She’s smart, strong, hilarious, and one of the most dependable people she knows. Sarah is beyond grateful to have her standing beside her on such a big day.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth, Also known as E, (she probably won't answer you if you call her by her full name) is one of Sarah's college best friends and teacher buddies! The two of them have been friends for 8 years. Sarah and E met at HCC their freshman year of college when their friend Chelsea introduced them to each other. Although they had different schedules with Sarah playing basketball and E playing softball, they always managed to find time to hang out. Sarah and E are 2/4 of the AMIGOS (You will meet the other two later if you keep reading). After HCC- Sarah went to Hood College and E went to Towson, but you would never of guessed either of them went away because they were always back home on the weekends. Sarah and E both graduated with their degree in education, where they both became elementary school teachers and even ended up teaching at the same school. The two of them became roommate's! Sarah is not sure if she would have made it her first 2 years of teaching without E by her side. They always did a great job keeping it professional when they needed to but as soon as the day let out, you'd never know what these two would be getting into. But, if you had to guess, there was a JEEP involved. E has become a very important person in Sarah's life and she is forever grateful to have a friend like her to be standing up beside her on her special day!
Bridesmaid
Marissa is one of Sarah's sisters! She is actually Sarah's oldest sister. The two of them are seven years apart. While the two of them didn't always see each other a ton growing up, she has always had this protective love for her younger siblings. Marissa is the kind of sister who will go to bat for you without hesitation—loyal, fierce, and full of heart. No matter the distance or years between the two of them, Sarah has always known she’s in her corner. To this day, Sarah still says one of my favorite days ever (at least from what she can remember!) was Marissa’s wedding. Watching her walk down the aisle and start that beautiful chapter in her life left such a big imprint on her. Marissa is not only an incredible sister and friend, but also a truly inspiring wife and mom. Her two boys, Carson and Collin, are the sweetest—and Sarah absolutely adores being their aunt. Seeing her raise them with so much love and strength makes Sarah admire Marissa even more. Sarah feels so lucky to have her standing by her side for this day, just like she’s always stood by her in life.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is one of Sarah's older sisters. Growing up together as sisters 2 years apart was not always the most cordial series of events, especially when the two of them were in high school together. Hannah was always the protective older sister looking after Sarah. Sarah found it a bit annoying because all she ever wanted to do was have fun. But, Hannah slowly allowed that to happen as Sarah got older. From taking her to her first party, to being carried out (not even 15 min later), Hannah knew the older sister title was made for her. For the most part, Sarah and Hannah grew to lean on each other more and more throughout the years, unless it came to borrowing one's clothes without asking. Hannah has been Sarah's go to person for almost every aspect of life once reaching college. Watching each other grow up and chase each others dream both personally and professionally has created a bond only a sister would understand. Sarah is excited to have Hannah be my her side for yet another big event in her life.
Bridesmaid
Tori and Sarah are just two years apart, which meant growing up together was as close—and chaotic—as it gets. From sharing a bathroom and stealing each other’s clothes to always knowing exactly what the other was up to, there was no such thing as privacy. They saw each other in school, at home, and everywhere in between. Sneaking around? Nearly impossible. They butted heads often (sometimes daily), but no matter the argument, they always found their way back to each other—usually through laughter, sarcasm, or a well-timed snack. Some of Sarah’s favorite memories with Tori include "chaperoning" parties for Tori and her friends (mostly making sure no one broke anything!), and their classic late-night food runs (if that is where they were going), —especially that first one at 2am after Sarah got her license. (That is a story for another time) Just two sisters, cruising around town with the windows down, music blasting, and going wherever the road took them. Tori has been Sarah’s built-in best friend, opponent, roommate, and co-conspirator—and she couldn’t imagine this day without her by her side.
Bridesmaid
Chels is also one of Sarah's best friends from college, and another one of the AMIGOS. Although they grew up in different towns, they quickly became equipped with each other. It started when Sarah called Chels at senior week when something crazy was happening! Sarah and Chels only spoke a sentence or two to each other before this call but when Chels picked up right away & they talked like they have been friends for years- they knew they were going to be a dynamic duo. They were- on and off the court. Sarah and Chels were great students athletes but sometimes forgot they had to be student first. They quickly realized that 8am's were not for them (even if they somehow made it to campus on-time), they decided it was too early for that. The memories these two made at college together could have ended up in one of those books because they were always living life to the fullest. As they grew up and got big girl jobs, life got busy but when duty called for a jeep ride or some shenanigans, the two of them were always there and ready. Some would say they might've worried about these two when they were together but they always had each other and turned out okay if you ask me. There summers would always be spent with a trip to Pappy Steve's or Ocean City with Uncle Johnny. Chelsea is a big reason Sarah and Matthew got together in the first place and if it wasn't for her- Sarah might still be waiting for the right time to talk to him. Sarah is happy to have her sidekick by her side.
Bridesmaid
Sarah met Olivia back in 2017 when she was in college! Although, they didn't go to the same school, they had mutual friends who did! After being introduced to each other, they instantly clicked- probably over a shared love of chaos and a good time. She's the friend who is always down for a wild adventure , whether it's last- minute travel plans or saying "yes" to something they definitely should've thought through first. Sarah and Liv have shared a lot over the years- endless laughs, late-night heart-to-hearts, and a love for coaching that the two of them have shared. When Liv is not busy being everyone's favorite person, you can find her on the golf course- probably sinking a putt and talking trash while doing it. Sarah is so lucky to have Olivia standing by her side on her wedding day!
Best Man
Chase and Matt go way back—all the way to middle school, where their friendship pretty much started over a shared love of video games. From late-night gaming sessions to countless inside jokes, they've been inseparable ever since. When it came time for college, Chase even followed Matt to the same school… though “followed” might be a strong word, considering he lasted exactly one day before deciding Towson was not for him. Honestly, Matt respects the commitment to such a quick exit. Not long after, Chase packed up and moved to Florida, but distance has never really mattered. Chase and Matt still talk all the time, play games like they used to, and every time Chase is in town, it’s like nothing has changed—except maybe they complain more about their backs now. Chase has been there for every major moment in Matt's life, and Matt can’t imagine his wedding day without him by his side. Matt is honored to call him his best man.
Groomsman
Next up is Matt’s second youngest groomsman and little brother, Brayden. At just 16, Brayden is ridiculously smart, quick-witted, and never misses an opportunity to argue with Matt—purely out of brotherly love, of course. Their constant back-and-forth is basically a family tradition at this point (Don't worry Sarah fits right in). Brayden has followed in Matt’s footsteps in a lot of ways. He shares Matt’s love for soccer and video games… and yes, he may have also inherited Matt’s legendary “soccer anger.” (If you’ve ever seen them both play, you know the referees probably deserve hazard pay.) Recently, Brayden got his driver’s license, which somehow managed to make Matt feel about 30 years older overnight. But no matter how grown-up Brayden gets, he’ll always be Matt’s little brother—the kid who can roast him in five seconds flat. Matt is proud to have Brayden as his groomsman…
Groomsman
Next is Matt’s youngest brother and youngest groomsman, Ian. Like his older brothers, Ian followed in Matt’s footsteps with his love of soccer and video games. He’s definitely the nicest of the three—especially to the referees, who probably appreciate his charm more than his brothers do. Ian might also be the best looking and most talented soccer player in the family… though the boy seriously needs to learn to eat something other than chicken nuggets. Somehow, all that nugget power fuels his lightning-fast comebacks, and he’s always ready to roast Matt at a moment’s notice. Even with all the sibling roasting, Matt couldn’t be prouder to have Ian by his side. Every great team needs a star player—and Ian knows how to score, both on the field and in any verbal showdown
Groomsman
Next up is Matt’s uncle Joe, though with the small age gap between them, Joe might as well be Matt’s older brother. Growing up, Joe was always that reliable, slightly cooler family member who somehow managed to be the partner-in-crime and the voice of reason at the same time. Joe and Matt share a ton of memories—most of them involving Joe’s little boat that probably shouldn’t have survived all their shenanigans. These two used to go on “expeditions,” which really just meant chasing waves, and keeping the boat from sinking! When they weren’t out on the water, you could find them in the backyard playing airsoft, turning the yard into their own mini battlefield. And let’s not forget the winter months—Joe and Matthew have shredded the slopes together snowboarding, proving that whether it’s water, backyard, or mountain, they’re always up for an adventure. Even though Joe has since moved clear across the country, he’s still the older brother Matt never had—but always needed. Whether it’s advice, a quick joke, or just reminiscing about those boat days, backyard battles, or snowy runs, Joe is the kind of guy who makes the distance feel a little smaller. Matt couldn’t imagine his wedding day without Joe standing by his side.
Groomsman
Seth is Matt’s “brotha from anotha motha.” These two have been friends for as long as Matt can remember, growing up right across the street from each other. Back then, if one of them was outside, the other wasn’t far behind—whether it was yelling across the street, shooting lacrosse in the yard, or just hanging out like they owned the block. They walked home from school together, spent endless hours in the basement playing video games and building Legos. From day one, they weren’t just friends—they were brothers. And even now, some things never change. Anytime they see each other outside, without saying a word, they both yell “OYYYYY!” No one knows how it started, and no one’s about to question it—it’s tradition at this point. Matt couldn’t imagine his wedding day without Seth LaG by his side.
Groomsman
If you ask anyone around here about Ryan, they’ll probably just say, “You mean Cohen?” Because honestly, no one really calls him Ryan. It’s just one of those names that feels totally foreign. Ryan and Matt first met playing little league baseball together, and while they weren’t instant best friends, that definitely changed over time. These two fight like brothers—loud, ridiculous arguments that somehow end with even louder laughter. But beneath it all is a friendship that’s as solid as they come. Whether it’s late-night gaming marathons with the fellas, catching the latest movie, or Ryan patiently driving Matt’s drunk self home from the bar, Cohen’s been there through it all. He’s also the kind of guy who’ll show up unannounced to crash at Matt and Tommy’s legendary apartment simply because he was bored at home. No questions asked. Matt couldn’t imagine his wedding day without Cohen standing by his side.
Groomsman
Next up is Tommy. Matt and Tommy first met their freshman year of college, and while they weren’t roommates then, by sophomore year they were living together—and that’s when the chaos truly began. These two were two peas in a pod: from late-night video games and marathon beer pong sessions to playing snapuh (breaking every single cup in the apartment), music, and computers, they were always perfectly in sync. Their apartment quickly became the hangout spot. Whether it was friends piling in for snapuh, music blasting until way too late, or just Matt and Tommy building all of their friends gaming PC's. Through it all, their friendship never skipped a beat. Now, instead of late-night gaming marathons, they’re upgrading to wedding-day celebrations—and Matt couldn’t be more proud to have Tommy standing by his side.
Groomsman
Matt met Kevin through their mutual friend Cohen, who introduced them because of their shared love of movies and video games. Kevin may be short in stature, but somehow, he’s got the athleticism to back it up—something the group never lets him forget. (Yes, the height jokes are constant.) Kevin is always down for a good time and never says no to a late-night gaming session, proving that size doesn’t matter. Whether it’s crushing it in games or just hanging out, Kevin is the guy you want in your corner—and definitely the one who keeps the energy up when everyone else is ready to call it a night. Plus, Kevin’s unofficial job on this wedding day? Making Matt feel like he is actually six foot. Matt couldn’t imagine his wedding day without Kevin there.
Honor Attendant
Josh is Sarah's younger brother. Josh is 21 years old and truly the world’s best brother. Growing up surrounded by five sisters, he somehow always managed to be the center of attention — and honestly, the girls wouldn’t have it any other way. He has a heart of gold and has always shown up for Sarah in every season of life: whether it’s wiping her tears, caring for her after surgery, or holding her accountable for lunch/dinner dates. He’s the kind of brother who sends the best snaps just when you need a laugh, and he has an incredible way of lighting up a room — or at least lighting up anyone's day who needs it. Josh is also a talented drummer and brings that same rhythm and energy into everything he does. But one of the things Sarah love's most about Josh is the way he loves their daughter, Alauna Rose. He is the sweetest (and slightly scariest in the most protective way) uncle, and it’s so special to see their bond grow. Josh, thank you for being my rock, my comic relief, and my forever built-in best friend.
Flower Girl
Alauna Rose, Sarah and Matt’s 16-month-old daughter, is not only the flower girl but also the greatest and most unexpected gift they’ve ever received from God. Her arrival changed their lives in the most beautiful way, and having her be part of their wedding day is something truly special. She’s full of personality, joy, and just the right amount of sass. Alauna will undoubtedly steal the show (and probably a few hearts along the way). She’s never shy when it comes to showing off her latest twirls, wiggles, or proud little struts down the aisle. Alauna Rose is the light of Sarah and Matt’s lives—and sharing this day with her makes it all the more meaningful.
Ring Bearer
Luca, Sarah’s 8-year-old nephew and the son of her sister Hannah, is one of the ring bearers—and he’s taking his role very seriously (with just the right amount of charm). From the moment Luca met Matt, he’s been one of his biggest fans. He quickly decided that Matt was definitely the perfect match for Sarah—and he’s been proudly saying it ever since. His love and support mean the world to both of them. Having Luca by their side on this special day is such a gift. His big heart, sweet spirit, and genuine joy bring even more love to the celebration.
Ring Bearer
Carson, Sarah’s 3-year-old nephew and Marissa’s son, is one of the ring bearers—and even at such a young age, he’s already stealing the spotlight. Smart, handsome, and unbelievably athletic, Carson keeps everyone on their toes and smiling. Whether he’s racing around with endless energy or flashing that mischievous grin, Carson brings so much joy wherever he goes. Sarah and Matt are thrilled to have him playing such a special role in their day—and they can’t wait to see what he does with his big moment (fingers crossed he walks somewhat in a straight line!). Carson is deeply loved by his aunt and uncle, and having him there means the world to them.
Ring Bearer
Collin, Sarah’s youngest nephew and the baby brother (and twin!) of Carson, will be just 5 months old when the wedding day arrives—making him the most adorable junior ring bearer. Though he may not be walking the aisle on his own just yet, Collin’s presence is already a gift to everyone who knows him. Sweet, cuddly, and full of charm, he’s the perfect addition to the celebration. Sarah and Matt feel so lucky to have both Collin and his big brother by their side on such a meaningful day. He may be little, but he holds a big piece of their hearts.
