Welcome to our wedding

Brian and Olivia met 5 years ago. Olivia’s good friend was a neighbor to Brian, she would call Olivia to let her know when Brian was outside mowing the yard and Olivia would come over to her friend’s house and pretend to be picking weeds in the front yard. I don’t think he even noticed her. They were at a group Halloween party where the theme was Toy Story. Brian wasn’t dressed up but could have fooled anyone as a handsome Woody character. Olivia was dressed up as an inflatable penguin to portray the character Wheezy. She was devoted to playing up that character which was the highlight of Brian’s night. Unfortunately their love story did not start here. Fast forward to summer 2024 at a going away party for a colleague where they reconnected. They had not seen each other in years. Brian looked sharp in his golf get up and Olivia was tanned and all set to move to Eugene, Oregon on a travel nurse assignment. There were sparks but they both knew it couldn’t last because Olivia was moving away. Thankfully there was a snow storm while Olivia was away in Oregon and she asked Brian to shovel the sidewalk of her house, which of course he agreed to. That was the hook that set the ball in motion. When Olivia returned from Oregon back to Spokane she and Brian managed to fit every Christmas celebration into one spectacular day. Getting real Christmas trees, Manito Christmas Lights and the Davenport Tree displays. It was a magical day and from that point on the two were inseparable. May 2025, Olivia and Brian took a getaway to Idaho to fly fish and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Olivia miraculously managed to catch a fish and afterwards Brian was so overcome with great joy that in the middle of the Couere d’Alene River Brian got down on one knee and proposed. And they didn’t even drop the ring in the river. It was a magical moment being surrounded by so much beauty and genuine love. It was the easiest yes! Olivia and Brian spend their time enjoying all of the outdoors activities. Hiking, biking, paddle boarding, fly fishing, skiing and snowshoeing. They enjoy being competitive in board games and lawn games, although Olivia only wins when Brian “forgets” the rules and/or the score. They are each other’s equal counterpart, with endless laughter, joy and gratitude. They feel so blessed to have reconnected after so many years and to be truly living their dream life together.
