Mehndi is a form of body art created by applying the paste of the henna plant in designs, usually on the hands and feet. Traditionally, Indian brides have a Mehndi party before the wedding which includes dancing, food, and a Mehndi artist.

The Nikah is the Islamic wedding ceremony which consists of a verbal and written consent between the bride's family and groom to get married. This ceremony is officiated by an Imam (a Muslim religious leader) and includes signing marriage documents and a short du'ah (prayer). We will be holding our Nikah at the beginning of the Mehndi party.
