Our tale begins with The Groom, Christapor, a bold adventurer seeking to reconnect with his roots and carve out a new path in his homeland. His journey was fueled by a desire to forge a new path, leaving behind the trials and tribulations and embracing the promise of a fresh start. Meanwhile, in a twist of fate, The Bride Meghrig, armed with a new master’s degree, was drawn back to Armenia to visit family. Little did she know that the sudden COVID-19 pandemic would extend her visit indefinitely. Meghrig decided to make the most of her time in Armenia, finding work and settling into her unexpected new life. On a magical evening at the lively local pub Bak 75, Christapor, accompanied by his comrades after a journey across Syunik with “Hye Hopes,” walked in, and the place was PACKED. He was instantly captivated by a radiant vision amidst the bustling crowd – Meghrig’s big, beautiful eyes and a giant smile from ear to ear. These eyes were locked onto his soul. He quickly pulled out of the trance, looked at his friend, and asked, “Is that girl looking at me?” His friend looked around and saw her locked in, and he said, “Oh ya, she is.” Having an inexplicable connection, Christapor instantly replied to his friend, “I think I will marry this girl,” though he hesitated to move. Chris thought, “She won’t talk to you, and don’t be one of those guys that walk up to her and say something weird. Opting for a slow roll, Christapor immersed himself in the night’s festivities, trying to ignore the intense palpations of his heart. Anyway, fate had other plans. Chris went to the dance floor to break out some dance moves, then suddenly, she appeared, held onto Chris through all the noise and commotion, and said, “Parev, yes Meghrignem, Dabke Kides enel?!” Chris said, “Ayo, shad lav…” But little did Chris know Meghrig didn’t know how to Dabke. Lucky for her, one of her friends grabbed her. So we didn’t have to see her stumbling, and just like that, Chris was hooked. Later, she found Chris again and said, “So what’s your name? Why have you moved to Armenia?” They got to know each other. Chris repeated in his head over and over again to tell her in perfect Armenian. She has the most perfect smile over anyone in the room. Meghrig, unamused, Chris then mentioned a friend he knew, and she said, “Oh, I know him.” We always go to this quiz night on Mondays. Then, Meghrig suddenly said okay bye bye and left without giving her number, socials, or a last name. So, Chris was determined to go to this quiz night. Their “dance” became a delightful introduction, beginning their enchanting journey together. Monday came around, and Chris put on his best clothes, got a good book, and went to quiz night a little early. Oh, Chris was nervous. Meghrig was also there early because she was preparing for a work meeting the following day. So, she said hello, and Chris smiled awkwardly and sat at another table reading. Then, the friend they knew walked in and said, “Hey, Chris, come sit with us.” So, Chris, with a mini celebration, said calmly, “Oh yes, that’s great.” He sat next to Meghrig, and the friends went up for a smoke. Chris asked, “What are you doing there?” Then, after that, the rest is history.

With each passing day, their bond grew more. As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Christapor and Meghrig explored Armenia’s rich culture and heritage. Chris’s friend, baby Chris, visited Armenia, where Chris made it “official” by Arax River. Then later, traditionally, Chris’s mother came to Armenia to ask Meghrig’s parents for her hand in marriage. Shortly after, together, they ventured beyond Armenia’s borders, traveling to Lebanon and fulfilling Meghrig’s lifelong dream of visiting Egypt. After some time of planning. Christapor told Meghrig, “I have some work to do in Lebanon!” Meghrig agreed... Christapor whisked Meghrig away, picked up her sister Sarin along the way, and off to Lebanon, where he proposed amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Mediterranean. With the promise of Forever Always on her finger, they embarked on the next chapter of their lives, dreaming of a future filled with love and adventure. Their journey, while waiting for America and the struggles of Armenia, eventually led them to try Dubai. From Armenia to Dubai, their love knows no bounds, transcending borders and boundaries. And now, as they prepare to say “I do” during their Holy Wedding in the vibrant city of Dubai, surrounded by family and friends from near and far, the First chapter in their new book of their epic love story – may it be filled with countless adventures, laughter, and a lifetime of love.
