The Couple
A true Grey's Anatomy romance, Steve and Meghan met in their first year surgical residents when they both moved to Toronto after medical school. Steve looked for a moment to introduce himself to Meghan privately, but in classic OB/GYN fashion she was perpetually surrounded by a clique of other gynecology residents. Before long, bootcamp was over and the opportunity had passed-they went their separate ways.
Several years later, they caught each other's eye across the nursing station while on rotation. Their first date was in the hospital cafeteria, where miraculously neither of their pagers beeped for two whole hours.
Nearly two years, a pandemic and a close encounter with a black bear later, both Steve and Meghan felt sure they had found their person. In December 2021, Steven planned the most perfect proposal for Meghan during a "private" morning walk- with both sets of parents hidden nearby to capture the moment on film.
Their love story is the biggest adventure of their lives!
