Take a 2.0 mile (round trip) hike to see spectacular views of Lake George. While short, there are some steep sections to get the heart pumping. This is a popular well-traveled trail.
Hop aboard a Lake George Steamboat Company boat for a tour of the lake. They offer varying lengths of cruises on their ships which all board from the Lake George village. For a private tour of the lake (plus fishing, tubing, and cliff-jumping) with your own personal captain, check out Bolton Landing Boat Tours. We know the captains personally!
If you're up for a fresh-air adventure (and some good exercise), check out this high-ropes adventure course. You'll be in a harness navigating and zip-lining through fun (and sometimes challenging) courses up in the pine trees. This will take approximately half a day and is probably not for those with a fear of heights.
There's a Six Flags park 20 minutes from our venue, and you will probably see the rollercoasters from the highway on your way into town (I-87 Exit 20). If you have a day to spend and love riding the rides, check it out. They also have a waterpark. We suggest stopping by Martha's Dandee Creme right up the road for some delicious soft-serve ice cream.
Great craft beer and light eats directly in the town of Bolton Landing. No views of the lake here...but we like the beer. Who doesn't love a local brewery?
Good quality food directly on Lake George. Beautiful views of the mountains in a stone building set up high above the water. Call ahead and make a reservation, or you may not get a table.
