FAQs

Question

Do I have to be vaccinated to come?

Answer

Yes, unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from getting vaccines. We care about both your and our other guests' health and safety, so please sit this one out if you're not vaccinated.

Question

Will I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Maybe. Somerville is readopting an indoor mask mandate as of August. Currently, there is no end date set. If the mandate is still in place on October 30, masks will be required. If the mandate has ended you're still welcome to wear a mask (or take any other COVID precautions) that make you comfortable.

Question

Can I bring my kid/mom/casual hookup/dentist/ friend?

Answer

If their name was on the invitation, sure. If not, please don't.

Question

Is this a costume party?

Answer

No, but depending on your normal style it might feel that way.

Question

No, really, what should I wear?

Answer

We hope you'll take this opportunity to be creative and spooky with your fashion choices, but we also want you to be comfortable. Dark and eccentric attire is welcome and encouraged. If you'd wear it to a goth club, it's good for our wedding. If it's a racially insensitive costume that came out of a bag from Party City...just no. Take a look at the fashion tab for some inspiration.

Question

Can I take pictures? When can I post them?

Answer

Please take all the photos you want and post away. We'd love to be able to find the photos, so please use our hashtag #SpookilyEverAfter. Our one request is that you don't get in the way of the photographer we've hired.

Question

I have dietary restrictions.

Answer

That's a statement, not a question, but we think we know where you're going with it. We're going to do our best to make sure there's something everyone can eat and that all food is labeled for allergens. Don't forget to note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can plan for them.

Question

What's the bar situation?

Answer

We're having an open bar with beer and wine.

Question

Won't you already be married?

Answer

Yes, we got married on our original wedding date.
