Our wedding is Black Tie. Tuxes or dark suits for men and floor length dresses for women. Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Street parking is free in Boston on Sundays! There are many metered spots around both the Cathedral and the Library. If you cannot find street parking, below are two parking lots / garages that each charge $10. Ceremony - There is parking lot a 0.2 mile walk from the Cathedral that charges $10 CASH at 540 Harrison Ave Reception - There is a parking garage around the corner from the Library at 85 St James Ave that charges $10 after Library validation -- make sure to grab a validation card when leaving the library at the end of the night!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

With the Cathedral being only a 0.7 mile walk from the Library and our hotel blocks, we will not be providing transportation from the Cathedral to the Library. The walk is through the gorgeous South End neighborhood of Boston! Uber and Lyft are also easy options!

Does the reception start immediately after the ceremony?

Answer

No -- There is a 2 hour gap between the end of our ceremony and the start to cocktail hour at the Library. We recommend going to the "Oak Room" at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, located directly across from the Boston Public Library, to have a drink before our reception begins at 6pm.
