Question

Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place in the Firefly Pavillon located at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. This is an open air facility. We are so excited to share our special day with you with spectacular views of the Morton Arboretum.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are so excited to see our guests dress up for our big day! The dress code is cocktail/formal. Think cocktail or long dresses, LBDs, and dark jackets/suits and ties. Please note that our venue is an open air facility, and make sure to dress accordingly!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Please arrive 15- 30 minutes prior to the ceremony starting so you find a seat and settle in.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love for everyone to attend, due to capacity limitations of our venue, we are only able to accommodate those names on your invitation. Unfortunately, we can’t make exceptions to this rule. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have put together a registry to help us get our newly wed lives started. You can find our wedding registry on our Zola website.

Is there transportation being provided to and from ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be a shuttle and trolley service from the hotel to and from the ceremony. This will start at 3:50 and end by 4:10. Both the shuttle and the trolley have limited seating so please make sure to be down in the lobby by 3:45 to secure your spot. However, it is important to note that the hotel is less than a 5 minute drive to the Morton Arboretum, and there is parking available on site! At the end of the night, there will be a shuttle going back to the hotel approximately every 20 minutes starting at 10:00pm and ending at 11:00pm. This shuttle has a capacity of 10 guests. If you are interested in coming to the after party, there will be a trolley coming at 10:45 and 11:00pm. The after party is also less than a 5 minute drive from the Morton Arboretum.

What do I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you know you can’t make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you- get ready to celebrate!

Is smoking allowed at the Morton Arboretum?

Answer

In keeping with the Arboretum’s commitment to the health and satisfaction of its guests and employees, smoking and tobacco use are prohibited anywhere on Arboretum property.
