Our adventure continues...

I will always remember the day when Meghan asked me if, in our future, we could have

coffee and bagels every Friday morning. My answer was obvious—of course I said yes. Yes, to any excuse to set aside time in my day for her. That day, on a walk exploring Somerville with Eric and Haifa, we likely passed all the coffee shops we were excited to try. At the time, I had recently moved to Somerville, only a short walk to the best bagels according to Eric. It was so memorable to watch the way he would light up, on any occasion, to talk about Bagelsaurus and the connection he felt with these bagels. I would come to learn that, even beyond bagels, he reserves this level of excitement for much more. I felt, from the start, Meghan ignited an excitement in every adventure. Whether we were on a long walk in Somerville or hiking in Yosemite, I knew I found the one who could keep me hyped as we uncovered new places in our life. And, so, I just kept searching for places—unaware of the hours going by, looking for even more cozy bookstores, hipster coffee shops, and mountain-hikes with waterfalls for Meghan. I would quickly come to learn that, through all the searching, the place I wanted to find, most of all, was in her heart. Thanks to Eric, I have a favorite ginger ale in Richmond and a quiet, lakeside trail in Acadia to escape the crowds. These places and the others we now share have brought out a side in Eric—a let’s just start dancing kind of side—that is rare, but enchanting. He reserves this side for the true moments that bring out the best in him. Thanks to Meghan, I vividly remember these moments and many more. I would often think back on these memories—the places and the adventures, the time spent talking about the future we wish for each other, and how much I love her—that in every way, made it clear, I had one big question to ask her. Of course, I said yes. Yes, to marry him. Yes, to bagels and coffee and a future where we continue our greatest adventure. I love him and I can’t wait to start this next chapter with him.

For all the days along the way
